What Is the I-693 Immigration Medical Exam?

The I-693 exam is required by USCIS to confirm that an applicant does not have certain communicable diseases and has received required vaccinations.

The physical includes:

A review of your medical history
A physical exam by a civil surgeon approved by USCIS
A review of your vaccination record
Blood and urine tests for specific communicable diseases
Completion and sealing of Form I-693 for USCIS

Tuberculosis screening (IGRA blood test)
- Note: A chest X-ray may be required if the TB test is positive.

Vaccination Review and Catch-Up Immunizations
